Vietnam International Travel Mart officially kicks off in Hanoi

Upon addressing the opening ceremony, Cao Thi Ngoc Lan, deputy head of the organising board of VITM 2024, emphasised that this year’s event features more than 450 booths, of which over 20% are international stalls.

Visitors to VITM Hanoi 2024 are expected to gain access to promotional tour programmes, discounted air tickets, cheap hotel rooms, and a wide range of One commune, One Product (OCOP) goods from various regions throughout the country, she added.

Nguyen Ngoc An, deputy general director of Vietluxtour Travel, revealed that the company’s domestic tour products offer preferential discounts ranging from VND1 million to VND1.5 million per person, while outbound tours are also reduced by between VND2 million and VND3 million per person depending on the route.

Ngo Van Thoa, director of Pan American Travel, shared that the company has also introduced a range of tourism products for 28 routes to nearly 50 countries worldwide, with the highest discount being of up to VND20 million for customers who book tours early.

As part of the occasion, tour operator Vietravel also launched the largest stimulus programme of the year with 60 package tours with up to 40% off.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong expressed his hope that the event will contribute to further stimulating domestic tourism demand, create a wealth of opportunities for businesses to introduce their tourism products and services, as well as strengthening tourism linkages among regions throughout the country.
